The striker scoring goals you haven't heard of

Goals win you games, it's the old expression that we've all heard of. True goalscoring forwards will always be a hot commodity in football because of this, that's why I was very curious as to why Tolu Arokodare of Genk in the Belgian pro league hasn't been mentioned more. I decided to take a deeper look into his game & why he's joint leading scorer in the Belgian pro league. So far this season he has accumulated a very impressive 20 goals & 5 assists in the regular season which propelled Genk to the top of the table. A player who combines pace & power he does a great job of finding space in between players & using his strength to score.

This is one of the qualities that allow him to be successful because he is an aerial threat, allowing his teammates to consistently cross the ball in for him. He's a good target man as well, which is a lost art for many strikers in modern football. I think being able to play the ball up to your forward & that forward holding up the ball to relieve your team of pressure & transition even into an attack. Tolu's strength makes him an ideal target man he ranks in the top percentage of forwards when it comes to progressive passes received, receiving 173 so far. At 24 years old, I think the time is around the corner for him to make a move in Europe & this summer there are a number of teams who should be eyeing his services.
